Ruth's Comments

As you see from the Board Meeting minutes to the right, the association has many tasks ahead of it for the upcoming year. We are fortunate to have an active and involved board, but we still look to other owners to help with the work ahead.

You will see that each board member has agreed to lead a committee comprising other members who will help us move forward in each of several areas. Perhaps the most important committee is the Call Committee. These members have agreed to form a phone tree so that two or three times a year, when owner participation in association business is required, we will attempt to contact each owner personally to solicit his or her support. This might occur:

You have also received Mel Nunn's notice that he will no longer be serving as Manager. We are sorry to lose Mel, who contributed so much to the upgrading of our grounds last year. On the other hand, Elite Management Services continues as our contractual Property Management entity. Under Deanna Knox's capable leadership, we have received, and will continue to receive, professional, responsive and cost effective property management services. Deanna will continue to be available to answer all owners questions, and to coordinate maintenance contracts and requests for service.

This month we also will engage the services of a general contractor to assume the Maintenance Supervisor duties that were formerly provided by Mel Nunn. If you have questions or problems, please contact any of your board members, or Deanna Knox, (541) 593-4474.

Christmas in Sunriver was especially pleasant this year. We had a snowfall just before Christmas Day, with blue skies for the holiday and the days immediately following. It was a very busy time for your board, but at least some of us - I admit, it was my husband and I - had a few days of wonderful skiing.

The best wishes of all of your Board Members for a very Happy New Year.
