Pictures of Roofs in Sunriver

On Christmas Day last December, John and I drove around Sunriver with a small camera. We took pictures of lots of roofs, both composition and metal.

It had snowed within the last couple of days, so composition roofs were, for the most part covered with snow, while metal roofs demonstrated their ability to shed snow.

We found some composition roofs free of snow in very sunny areas. Other composition roofs that covered un-insulated interior spaces were free of snow because heat from the interior had melted it.

I've included some of these pictures here for any of you who might be interested in the relative performance of the two materials under these conditions.
