Secretary's Comments
This month, besides wishing you the very happiest of Holiday Seasons, I offer the following for your considerstion:
First of all, last season, the association decorated the fences at the front of Wildflower II with Christmas lights. Many of the owners found this to be a charming addition to the holiday season. Deanna reports that the electricity cost to support these decorations is minimal. However, the cost to have a maintenance person install the lights and later remove them is outside the scope of our budget this year. (See the comments at right about budget priorities).
Deanna also suggested that this would be a wonderful contribution for a small "work party" of owners. So - here is a call to any owners who may be in Sunriver over the December Holidays. If you would be willing to donate some time to either put holiday lights up early in December or take them down at the end of December, please contact Deanna.
In order to have lights, we will need both contributors willing to put the lights up and either the same or other owners who will offer to take them down. Do I hear a chorus of volunteers?
While I'm in the mode of asking for volunteers, are there any of you owners who would be interested in contributing to our monthly newsletter? I have been writing this monthly update for over two years now, and it would be nice to incorporate another owner's perspective.
Write me an e-mail if you would be interested in contributing to the newsletter. It can be anything from writing one column to publishing the whole newsletter on the web.
And finally, don't forget that it's ski season! Mt. Bachelor already has a 60" base. It looks like it's going to be a good snow year. There is also a web cam at the base of Pine Marten lift.
Check out the snow conditions. It looks really promising.
