Secretary's Notes
As you read the minutes of our last board meeting, you will see reference to the fact that our Association has accomplished two of three major restoration projects, the roofs and the roof-top decks.
We will be beginning the restoration of our siding this year, with expectation that it will be completed next year.
Thank you to all of the owners who have submitted their special assessment payments on or before the deadline and who continue to be prompt in paying their quarterly assessments. This allows us to stay on track with our projects.
The board and the manager are actively working with the few owners whose payments are not yet current, in the expectation that payments that are in arrears will be current before the end of the fiscal year, which, as you know, ends in September.
At the August meeting Deanna presented, and the Board approved, a treatment protocol to restore our buildings' siding. During a test of this procedure, on a single wall of one building, Deanna took "before", "during" and "after" pictures of the process. These pictures can be viewed here.
Just one other topic deserves mention this month:
Two board positions are open for re-election for the upcoming year.
Board members serve no more than three contiguous two-year terms, according to our bylaws.
We earnestly solicit your involvement in your Association's Board. The Board holds four meetings each year, each lasting about two hours. One occurs immediately after the general owners' meeting, one in January, one in late spring and one in the summer. When board members are unable to attend in person, they are able to attend by conference telephone.
If you are able to take your turn donating your time to board duties, please submit your nomination biography to Deanna, before September 10, so that she can include it with the ballot that is to be mailed to all owners. Deanna will be mailing a copy of the nomination biography form to all owners. However, if you would like you can download and print one here
