Secretary's Comments

- by Ruth Jenkins

The minutes of the Board Meeting held in April (below, in the right-hand column) will update you on the status of our Association. But, what I want to emphasize (did that word-art at the right catch your attention?) is something that is buried in the very last paragraph of the minutes.

Here's what it says:

There will be a Spring-Clean Work Party on May 10th for all those owners who wish to help with ladder fuel [cleanup].

A luncheon will be served for all those owners wishing to help out. This is a wonderful way to get to know your neighbor, have fun, and help your community. So bring your work gloves and garden tools.

This is an important activity for our Association. Not only can you meet your Sunriver neighbors, but together we can help keep our Association Dues under control.

As noted in the Board meeting minutes, SROA has asked our Association to tidy up our Association grounds, removing "ladder fuels" - branches and needles that contribute to heightened fire danger.

If we owners pitch in to do this work, the Association does not have to hire an outside contractor to do it. Please help by planning to spend the day with us on May 10, 2003. Let Deanna know if you plan to attend so she can plan lunch.

Don't Forget!
