Happy New Year! to all our ownership.

Usually our winter newsletter recounts the proceedings of our winter board meeting, which, ordinarily, we hold right about now. This year, between one thing and another, we won't be holding a board meeting until early March. So this winter the newsletter is a more casual update of our Association's progress.

The fact that there will be one fewer board meeting this year - one in early spring, one in the middle of summer - means that at the very next board meeting your board will address the topic of nominations for our 2005-2006 board.

Two of our board members will have reached their term limits at the end of this fiscal year. That means that we will solicit from among our membership two owners to contribute their skills and attention to Wildflower II management.

The board members who will be retiring have generously volunteered their time for the betterment of our Association, with the promise that after their "tour of duty" was over, others from our membership would continue in their places.

Rod Englert, our Chair, and Ed Vignoul, our Vice-Chair, have done wonderful things to improve the quality of our Association. We owners have seen our Wildflower II units appreciate dramatically, a function not only of a robust real estate market but also of the property improvements this present board has overseen. The very best thanks that the membership can give these retiring board members is that other owners will come forward to donate their time to the Association, continuing the work that Rod and Ed began.

If you are considering board membership, take a test drive:   come to the March board meeting. Board meetings are always open to all owners. Save this date:  March 4, 2005, in Sunriver at 12:00 noon, at Deanna's house. Let Deanna know you are coming, she'll give you directions. And ... lunch will be served.
