Pictures of the new Parking Area
Two large capital reserve items that have been addressed this year are, sealing our newly-asphalted walkways and installing an asphalt overlay on our parking lot.
Our parking area had become so bumpy, with cracks and irregularities, that driving on it was almost like a Disneyland "E-ticket" ride.
For five years we lived with the problem while we attended to more pressing repairs, like roofs and siding, leaks and steps and decks.
Over the past two years, after other higher-priority items were addressed, we have replaced our paths, and now our parking area, with all new asphalt.
Ray Cook took these "before" pictures of the asphalt: here and here.
Ray also submitted pictures of the actual paving process: here and here.
Here are Deanna's pictures of the completed work, along with Deanna's comments.
Garbage Enclosure that was beat with an ugly stick. Repair scheduled for next week.
Picture showing the depth of the asphalt. It's a toe thumper. We may want to add gravel in this area between the asphalt and the fence.
