October Manager's Notes

- by Joanna Johns

My full report on the state of the Association was presented to the owners at their meeting October 17th, and is included in the meeting minutes, which are posted here.

At the owners' meeting I displayed a drawing of the proposed entry signage which the Association plans to install in a year or two. Here is this drawing showing the design which has been approved by the Board.

The plans include reflective white paint for the lettering. Our plan to install these signs on either side of Fairway Drive, at the entrance to the Wildflower II units (now named Brassie and Mashie Drives).

The appropriate unit numbers will be included in each sign. The reflective paint on the lettering, along with existing street lighting near the sign locations elinminates the need for any additional lighting on the signs.

Another product that I brought to the owners' meeting was a sample of a pedestrian decking system which the board is considering for use on the Phase II roof-top decks. Since this product supports pedestrian traffic, if it were to replace the existing membrane+cedar decking now installed there, it would make cleaning and maintenance easier, while providing better waterproofing and longer life.
