Up to now, we have used a service that hosts small web sites without charge. Then, as the form of our site took shape, we realized that it could be a repository for the historical records of our association. However, as I began to post these data onto the site, it became obvious that we would soon exceed the space allocation that the hosting service provided "for free". We needed our own internet address. So, here we are - our website is now at http://www.wildflowerII.org (there is a .org on the end of our name, not a .com). Not only that, the archives portion of our site has expanded to include all the annual association meeting minutes, and all of the budget records that have been sent to the ownership over the years. These are all scanned documents which you can read using an ADOBE Acrobat reader. The index pages give directions on how you can get your free copy of this reader if you don't already have it. Here are some highlights of the expanded website:

One year the ownership received plans for the outdoor storage addition what was approved for Wildflower units. That document is indexed on the same page as the Meeting Minutes.

There have been five attempts to prepare capital reserve studies in the past. These have their own index page.

For those of you who would rather not spend the long hours extracting data from these documents, I summarized some of the information in graphs and pie charts. These are indexed on the Capital Reserve Archives page.

On another note, look next door (figuratively speaking - really, you only need look to the left of this window). Mel Nunn, our new manager has important words for us. In the short time I've worked with them, I've found that both he and Deanna Knox are responsive, they have good ideas, they are setting high standards for professional management. Let's take advantage of this invigoration and work together to bring our Association up to real excellence.

Finally, if there is a message I would like to leave with you this month it is this: our Association Meeting will occur on October 2. That is only six or so weeks away. It will be an important meeting. Make sure your voice is heard. If you can be in Sunriver that weekend, plan to come to the meeting. If not, delegate your proxy to someone who shares your vision for the future of our association. If you have thoughts on how we can improve our Association, contact Mel and share your ideas with him. If you have areas of particular concern, lets get those aired too; let's see if we can find solutions. If you have talents that you can share with our Association - volunteer! we need your skills.
